About this artwork
Traces of our daily life are deposited on the walls of the city: writings and old worn images testify to the time we live. "circus" poster announcing the presence of the circus in the city appears in tatters: traces of a festive serenity that can no longer belong to our disastrous contemporaneity.

« I use every sign that can describe this fleeting present of which we have already forgotten. »
Carlo Inglese is an Italian artist whose paintings have been featured in several solo and group exhibitions nationally. He describes his artistic expression as being based on the observations of our social fabric, arising from the need to "testify what we live" and representing contemporary society. Inglese gathers old posters, ephemeral objects, and any element that captures our time, or arouses a memory or an emotion, and then applies them onto canvas, metal, or wood.
