In an era based on the rules of capitalism, we realize that we are cogs in a mechanism that cannot get stuck. The golden rule is to "produce" and then consume, and the price that this principle may have does not matter. Nor should it be surprising that some (or many) may lose their lives to ensure the perpetual motion of this whirling machine called "economy".

Carlo Inglese is an Italian artist whose paintings have been featured in several solo and group exhibitions nationally. He describes his artistic expression as being based on the observations of our social fabric, arising from the need to "testify what we live" and representing contemporary society. Inglese gathers old posters, ephemeral objects, and any element that captures our time, or arouses a memory or an emotion, and then applies them onto canvas, metal, or wood.
