We live in an age where we confuse presence with visibility. And existing seems to depend on offering a clear and recognizable version of oneself. Immediacy has become a form of obedience, and doubt something that must be resolved as quickly as possible so as not to cause discomfort.
However, it is in uncomfortable uncertainty that what dwells within each of us is revealed.
And stopping has become something extraordinary.
There in the stillness,… where no one seeks to be seen. The intimate ceases to be a commodity.
Holding onto doubt instead of filling it. Dwelling in the moment without demanding immediate meaning from it.
Only in this way can a depth that the world seems to have forgotten be recovered.
There are no answers there.
Perhaps meditation is this: not escaping from the world, but ceasing to obey it automatically, long enough to return to inhabiting it.
