About this artwork
Leda's inspiration is found in the sculptures, like many of my paintings, the Greek and Roman sculptors serve as a basis for later creating my own forms.
Their breaks, headless bodies, disembodied heads,
pink marble, ... or greenish.
A piece here and another there that I stick with the “putty” of my painting, which I like not to hide.
The intention is to show its process, its repairs and the centuries that have passed through the muscles and… flesh of this "sculpture" of mine.
"Leda", you show us your vagina, with a swan's wing attached to the body,
enough is like this with your name to know what happened to you.

« Creativity on an empty plane, giving birth to a static soul, always flaming in its capture. »
Carmen Delaco is an artist based in Spain whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the United States, South Korea, China, the United Kingdom, Mexico, and Australia. Her figurative compositions are imbued with the suggestion of expressionism and explore subjects relating to violence and repression, inspired by current events. Conversely, Delaco also portrays the "rawness and delicacy that this life harbors", as well as mythological themes blending nature, humanity, and divinity.
