About this artwork
Based on experience I have achieved work methods that allow me to forge knots in a primitive way (with a charcoal forge, anvil and hammer, without welding).
It is this work that I enjoy the most and this is evident in the quality of the finished work.
As they are forged manually and individually, they are all unique pieces.
In this "Knot" I have used a 30x15 mm rectangular steel bar. and weighs 1.8K
The finish is oil and wax.

Carmen López Gonzalvo, with training in iron and steel forging, has participated in collaborations and individual projects. His abstract and versatile use of metals stands out, creating everything from intricate "tangles" and organic shapes to geometric and architectural sculptures, using techniques such as welding and sheet metal bending. His work is characterized by a palpable passion for iron, fighting and embracing its challenges, in a constant dance between perseverance and art.
