CARMEN MORENO 2025. Art is the desperate attempt to understand the world: life and death, nothing more. Man creates a pictogram of himself and of objects, as well as of all the feelings that assail him, in the hope of being able to influence them. Techniques, themes, or medium are of no interest. It is exclusively a survival strategy. What is definitive is the creative act itself, as is that of the spectator, who is not, however, passive in this action; anyone standing in front of a work of art is participating and receiving the same magic.
