About this artwork
Luz is a portrait focused on the presence and expression of a young woman who turns her face towards the viewer. Her serene gaze contrasts with the movement of her hair and the intensity of the red, which lends strength and warmth to the composition.
The face is rendered with greater precision, while the hair and background are achieved through layers, textures, and freer brushstrokes. Golden and reddish tones expand around the figure, making light… an integral part of the work's emotional state.
The piece was selected for the 2020 Associació Sant Lluc per l'Art competition and received an honorable mention in the Art Ideal Magazine competition that same year. It was also included in the Euroartes Huelva 2021 and Euroartes La Puebla de Montalbán 2021 group exhibitions of realist art.
It does not need framing because it is mounted on a wide frame with painted edges.
