About this artwork
As in all my works in this collection, intimacy is the focus, represented by a single figure in a posture of introspection and contemplation. I used color to blend the figure with its surroundings in a pleasing, warm way, to convey that it is more in its inner world than in reality. The work depicts a calm scene, with carefully considered composition and the richness of color providing a touch of serene joy.
This is a high-quality oil painting on… linen, measuring 100 x 81 cm. Although I include photographs of framing suggestions in different spaces, the canvas is shipped unframed, therefore in a tube, and will need to be mounted on a stretcher bar or on a wood frame.
