About this artwork
FUN - EASE - FRIENDS
The work was created on the theme of friendship and unity and is a combination of abstraction and figurative painting. The artist usually paints abstract works, but her early roots can be found in photorealistic charcoal painting. With this combination, she embarks on a personal, artistic flashback.
The background stands for the foundation of a strong friendship that appears carved in stone and has developed a certain patina… and different patterns over time. The figurative part embodies in the form of a male and female dancer, the joy, the fun, being on the same wavelength and being active together. In order to be a unit, you need the willingness to walk the path together, to take care of each other and to have a certain bond.

« Although I love extremes, for me in all doing and creating a balance is indispensable. Life, art, needs contrasts, contrasts, but in some way has to keep its balance. »
Kohler attended the arts and crafts school, needs from this environment to teach sports, and yet did not get rid of the art. Today, sports and nature provide her with an important source of inspiration for her abstract paintings, in which hidden figurative elements of space stimulate the imagination of the beholder.
