About this artwork
While painting on the rocks at the Italian Coast near Genoa, Carolin establishes a silent dialogue with the sea and its waves that are surrounding her. This arouses in her meditative energetic and emotional processes, which she transfers with watercolors.
Her painting visualizes an encounter with the mediterranean sea, developing empathy with it and broadening her mental horizons by sensitizing her perception.
She wants to share her love for nature… with her artworks by emphasizing the connection between human beings and the four elements. Her art is influenced by the german Philospher / Biologist Andreas Weber who describes this connection in his book "Alles fühlt" ("everything feels".

« My art is a mirror: what you discover today will maybe it won’t be the same thing that you’ll recognize tomorrow. And so the paintings speak about you too. »
Carolin Goedeke is an artist and musician based in Italy who has exhibited her works nationally, as well as in Germany, the United Kingdom, Russia, and India. Her daily observation of waves off the Italian Rivera Coast, as well as clarinet improvisation, inspires her artistic process. Goedeke describes her paintings as the result of meditation on the dynamic forces of nature, in touch with the energetic flow of life. Her vibrant and intuitive works are created with watercolors on paper.
