About this artwork
This painting is an abstracted landscape inspired by many places I have traveled all over the world. I like that the location is ambiguous so the viewer finds their own place in the landscape. The layers of clouds and atmosphere I see inspire much of my work. Recently I have been focusing on these layers as I paint - the movement and the ephemeral quality in the clouds and their effect on the colors and tones in the fields, mountains, and water.

Caroline Adams is a painter and printmaker with a background from RISD and the Aegean Center for the Fine Arts, having worked internationally.
