Caroline Ventura, an artist born in Lausanne and trained at ECAL and then HEAD, explores painting, drawing, and video using transparent materials and intuitive techniques such as spray paint and stickers. She plays with paradoxes, blending gentleness and brutality, lightness and heaviness, transparency and opacity. Her work interrogates contemporary society with powerful lucidity, conveying to the viewer a strange tension between attraction and repulsion, like a delicate yet striking shock.
