« I'm a typical study painter, and therefore never paint directly in nature. In return, I do many sketches, which often become the starting point for my works. I am working with acrylic and would like to use oil on top of the acrylic. »
Carsten Frank is an experienced Danish painter who has exhibited his work internationally, including in the United States, Switzerland and Spain. He primarily creates expressive, semi-abstract landscapes, seeking to engage with questions of the human condition and existence. He transforms the brutal, objectified and narcissistic into hopeful, soulful forms, ultimately hoping that each viewer will confront existential questions related to our contemporary human trajectory.
