« The real challenge in being an artist lies in seeking out your authentic voice and finding that story that only you can tell. »
Casey Thornton's work speaks quietly. Her paintings draw focus to the nature of objects and the moments that surround us every day, inviting the viewer to pause and consider them with a renewed sense of clarity. Thornton's art is influenced by representational and hyperrealist painters, from the old masters through to the present day. Through her pieces, the Australian artist hopes to offer a moment of respite in a chaotic world that is constantly 'switched on'.
