About this artwork
During his everyday painting process, Casper Verborg is using newspapers for making marks or to add or wipe out the paint on the canvas. These dirty yet beautiful pages were piling up in a corner of his studio. During the recent lockdown in The Netherlands, he started to use these colored pages to create small collages. On top of these collages Verborg painted lockdown observations of people he saw during his walks through the city in the last spring…

Casper Verborg is a Dutch painter, whose figurative works centre on storytelling and exploring the intricacies of the human condition. A graduate of KASK School of Arts in Ghent and ArtEZ in Arnhem, Verborg is currently living and working in the Netherlands.
