Through the drawing of the figure in conjunction with landscapes and still lifes, Cassandra Wainhouse’s objective is to discover the feminine in relation to ‘the world, to the other, to time and experience introspection as a trip’. The French artist’s geographic bodies are ‘linked to places as to destiny’. Wainhouse glues, draws, tares, sews, embroiders, and paints using acrylics and oil in her collages and paintings.
