Here on the South Texas Gulf Coast, we have shallow bays you can walk in which seem to go on for miles. There is an abundance of visual beauty in it....ripples on water, greens, golds, seagrasses, and tiny creatures making their way through the more protected shallows. Another sensual feast of a different kind awaits when you sit in the water, close your eyes, and listen. The lapping… of waves, water foul calls, fish tapping the surface as they feed. Boats imposing themselves in the distance. The body is immersed, listening, and becoming more and more aware of place and self.
This painting has drips showing on the edges and is varnished with a matte varnish to protect it from light and dirt damage. It comes with a certificate of authenticity and a hand-written thank you note from the artist.
