But the call is made with dignity. His face remains impassive. Like those destitute Africans who wait for hours without complaint for their ration of water. A memory of the travels I have made in my life as a filmmaker. This is why, using hot wax (using the age-old technique of the Fayoum painters), I painted him a costume that reminds me of… Africa. This sculpture embodies a striking energy, a vibrant call to infinity. I wanted to convey hope and the quest for freedom through this character reaching out, between shadow and light. It will bring a powerful emotional force to your home, a breath of dream and passion that invites you to surpass yourself and open yourself to the world with audacity.
