About this artwork
In this painting I was interested in the bridge and the concept of looking into another world on the other side of the bridge. I was also concentrated on play of light and shadow on the wall. In all of my work I strive to carry the viewer to another reality which always celebrates nature and its inhabitants.

Catherine Kirkwood is an experienced American painter who has exhibited her work nationally and been fascinated by art from a young age, profoundly affected by artworks she saw in museums growing up.
