About this artwork
Nietzsche said: "When you look at the abyss, know that the abyss also looks in you". It appears that this last pictorial series, called "Watch", contains for each painting a deeper, more obscure center, making it resemble an eye. Eye of the past, or, to resume the oceanic comparison, maelstrom eye evoking these black holes in the sea where the water engulfed in its closed trajectory no longer has any heat exchange with the outside.
