About this artwork
This painting was inspired by the iconic 'Devils Marbles' in Tennant Creek, Northern Territory, Australia. Finding these huge spherical shaped boulders quite fascinating, Cathy has used them as a muse for her paintings on several occasions. She finds it quite amazing, how they seem to be placed carefully on top of each other as if they are part of a balancing act. These boulders have incredible colour which changes at different times of the day…
and into sunset, when they are become a beautiful burnt red colour.
