About this artwork
The idea behind this artwork, was to express the notion that as individuals, we all have many layers. The deeper more subdued background hues, represent our past that has been laid down as roots, what was. The shards of blue represent changes of direction that we take in life and the bright, golden foliage in the foreground, are indicative of personal growth and things to come in the future.
