About this artwork
This work (and the others in this series) are based on a reflection on the devotion to material objects, which, seen as fetishes, lead us to inquire about their (supernatural) power to intervene the states of being, the mind and / or luck, turning its essence (that of the material object) into a trigger for superstitious worship to activate memory, attract what one wants, correspond to a circumstance or strengthen faith in what is believed, among…
many other possibilities ...

« Reinterpreting Martin Heidegger ... Art is a revelation of truth chained to the divine, it establishes man in a bond directly with his absolute being. »
CAYE66 is an award-winning Columbian artist whose paintings have been exhibited nationally. His creative process employs scenarios, circumstances, or everyday objects, which are intervened and transformed, representing a symbolic synthesis of personal experience, as well as the human presence and its existentialism. CAYE66's narrative based compositions are supported by painting and drawing techniques "as a means to collect reality and transform it into representation".
