« For all the words we don't say, for all the images we keep in our hearts, there is art. I love the countryside and the sea where I live, but my source of inspiration is the city. »
Pascale Fey is more of a "contemporary artist of Art" than an artist in the contemporary art world. A graphic designer for many years, it had become essential for her to realize her own fantasies. "Phobias, neuroses, obsessions, dreams... I have plenty, enough to fill canvases," she says. "Images appear to me continuously; the hardest part is channeling them through my brush and taming my flashes of inspiration." She has developed a very particular technique for confronting a blank canvas without being intimidated, which consists of first coating it with a dark hue upon which she applies colors that gradually make it disappear, giving way to light. From black, colors will be born; from nothingness, life will be reborn. And Lux in tenebris lucet (Latin). "I explore in all directions, I test all colors, all angles of my brushes, I consider the Artist as a researcher, I set no limits for myself."
