About this artwork
This one draws from my recent fascination with mega cruise ships. I see them as an experience that is marketed as a type of floating Promised Land where your every want and need is fulfilled. There's a certain absurdity in their decadence that's comical, while their environmental impact and working conditions of the crew are down right frightening and cruel.
