Chaewon Kim is an award-winning Canadian artist whose paintings have been widely exhibited on a national level. Her abstract work arises from a fundamental question about human beings, "who am I?". Through her thesis research, Kim delved into theories of subjectless subjectivity, selflessness, and pure immanence in philosophy. In addition, she found herself contemplating themes of evacuation and "let-it-go" in religion. She believes that everything around us has a pure moment before we name or define it.
