In the story, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Alice changes size 12 times during her adventures. The changes occur when she drinks a potion or eats a cake. It’s said that Carroll was using this to depict never being the right size or able to fit in during adolescence. Eventually, Alice controls her size changes by nibbling sides of a mushroom. The title is obviously also a play on words referring to needing psychological therapy. The elongated…
limbs and oddly uncomfortable arrangement of her face and hands are tangled in wave like ripples and folds of her dress which seems to have collected various parts of her experiences in Wonderland. For more information please look at my Instagram.
