The faint background of the painting is of 1970's derelict New York City. The characters represented take the many forms of "Venus" the Goddess of Love. There is the half shell represented (as well as some of the figurative formations) in the painting are take from Sandro Botticelli's "The Birth Of Venus". Perhaps this is the imagination of the many forms or moods of a modern day Venus ? Is she an instagram thirst trap? Is she… gilted? Is that her real hair? Did you swipe left or right?
