About this artwork
In this work, I fused cubism with surrealism to capture a timeless, vintage essence. Using acrylics, I divided the shape of a classic car into geometric segments, emboldened by bands of vibrant color that cross the canvas. My intention was to provoke a conversation between classic elements and the boldness of modernity, inviting reflection on progress and nostalgia. This painting brings dynamism and character, accentuating authenticity and energy… in any modern space.
Charly Bennici, nicknamed “the Archi-Painter”, is an artist who lives and works in Marseille, his hometown. Born in 1971, he studied architecture at the same time as he took courses at the Beaux-Arts in Marseille, until obtaining the architect's diploma dplg Captivated by painting since adolescence, he has painted out of passion for 30 years and exhibits his work in galleries, prestigious locations and contemporary art fairs throughout France. His "geometric" painting reflects his architectural background, highlighting marked perspectives and architectural lines of force, bringing out all the vanishing points structuring the figurative compositions of the subjects in his paintings.
