« I contort and synthesize geographic elements, bringing forth paintings that are mysteriously familiar yet surprisingly unconventional. They challenge conventions of geography and landscapes, offering invigorating visions of space and place. »
Chase Langford is an American artist whose works have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions across the United States. The goal in his paintings is not to explain the geography of a place, but to 're-express' geographic forms in an entirely new way. Langford calls his artistic approach 'Geographic Expressionism'. He creates using oils on canvas and wood panels, applying paint with brushes, cardboard, and palette knives.
