'One, chair' may seem like a strange title ... but I wanted to shift the focus from the woman to the object. At least for a second the time to read the title and then find yourself looking at this face, the body, the feet in a strange position on this chair, almost as if to curl up on itself ... a defensive position or as a child, too. if this one who is looking at you is not a little girl at all, on the contrary she provokes you, challenges you,…
she is sensual even being perfectly dressed, I see I don't see it I find it even more fascinating than a full nude, you?

Chiara Abbaticchio is an exciting Italian painter who has exhibited her work nationally. Constantly searching for unity between line and colour, she composes works that balance form and material with both vibrancy and harmony. Her themes include female subjects that appear soft and independent, and urban landscapes such as New York's iconic yellow taxis and and scenes of everyday life. The co-existence of these themes presents an overall image of a modern society - ours - that is defined by continuous movement between individuals and environments.
