About this artwork
In this painting, I wanted to capture the raw, vibrant energy of a metropolis in perpetual motion that is recognizable from Patmos and so many others. Through abstract language and evocative forms, I explored the complexity and diversity of the urban landscape. The marked contrasts, the contrasts of a bustling world, made of interactions, and crossed, ghostly solitudes,
of structures that confine us as much as they define us.
This work invites… us to dive into this incessant flow of emotions, actions and forms, a reflection of our modern lives, our habits, and the boxes in which we enter, stay... and sometimes lose ourselves.
Chloé Bigo is a painter who started with watercolor before moving towards oil painting and acrylic, drawing on her roots in the north of France and her travels. She explores landscapes through time, drawing inspiration from her travel sketches and places dear to her heart such as the Opal Coast. Expressing the connection between his inner life and the outside world, Bigo uses diverse techniques to bring his memories to life, sparking feelings of familiarity and nostalgia through his poignant works.
