About this artwork
Bust of a nude woman, three-quarter view, her head tilted back in right profile. Her eyes are closed and her mouth is half-open. Her shoulders are drawn forward and her arms are at her sides.
A blue disc (star) supports the character's head.
A multitude of blue and gray discs of varying diameters, forming the hair, cascade down the back. Black lines and flat tints of varying grayscale shades outline the body. Some volumes are left untouched.
Around… the model, a set of discs of different gray values and varying diameters construct the decor.
With light bubbles and soothing blue hues, I blended softness and strength, figuration and abstraction. It is a hymn to freedom, to life, to the deep breathing that illuminates the soul.
