About this artwork
Heavenly ladened cherry blossom branches herald the arrival of spring and renewal.
Whether sketching out on the rocks or rambling through the woods, my intention is to try to create a painting that evokes a feeling or particular atmosphere that you can relate to and, once the finished artwork is hanging on your wall, brings back happy memories.
MATERIALS: This artwork is on a stretched canvas - finished with two layers of varnish to protect against… sunlight and dust.
READY TO HANG: The canvas sides are painted blue so it is ready to hang without a frame if so desired.

Chris Bourne is an experienced artist from the United Kingdom whose paintings have been exhibited in solo shows nationally. After working as an art director in London, Chris moved to the countryside to dedicate himself to painting landscapes and then more recently to the coast to work on seascapes as well. He creates detailed works in mixed media to encapsulate elements, feelings, and memories associated with nature and the contrasting light and seasons.
