A female dancer touches down on a splatter of paint, sending it into all directions. The artist photographed the dancer underwater, for reference, on this piece. With the unique perspective on her body, it almost looked like her toe was dipping into something, so the splattering paint was added as an afterthought. The splattering continues onto the frame to give the art a unique three dimensional feel.

Chris Dellorco is an award-winning painter and photographer whose works have been exhibited both in the United States and Italy. While his intention is to create beautiful pieces, he also explores loneliness and sadness within his works. Dellorco wants his art to resonate on an emotional level, and not an intellectual one. His artistic process begins with photographing models and backgrounds for reference, which he then translates into photorealistic images using acrylics and oils on canvas.
