About this artwork
The ninth in the Bussow abstract series. Painted with acrylics on canvas using yellow and violet as primary colours, with blue, green and red as secondary colours. Here I felt that I had to resist the temptation to create depth with layering which resulted in the painting being mainly in the two primary colours with limited use of the secondary colours. Here Inwas more interested in the random effects of painting wet on wet and using a water spray…
to create runs and dribbles which created an interesting network of marks over the painting.
