This painting continues his exploration of figures integrated with a check pattern and flowing colours linking unrelated forms. The checks are laid over the underlying painting of a landscape. The painters aim was for the observers eye to be drawn around the painting by the flowing blues and then to be drawn into the check pattern and what lies beyond. Oil on canvas, framed.
