About this artwork
The sun was setting and the harbour lights danced on the sea. I made a few reference sketches to capture the shapes, and used these back at the studio to help towards the composition.
I live near the sea and it's endless in inspiration.
Oil on 350 gm canvas. I used a studio temporary stretcher while creating the work, the canvas will be removed from the bars a shipped rolled. This will require stretching at your local framers. I've left a very… generous edge to allow for stretching and trimming. The painting can be stretched on a standard stretcher measuring 150 cm x 120 cm x 5 cm, avoiding the need for an expensive bespoke stretcher to be made.
I continually revolved the canvas whilst working and the painting may be hung in any orientation to suit your room.
Any questions, email me. Thanks for looking.
