Christian Chartier is a French painter and sculptor whose works have been exhibited nationally. His expressive and sometimes abstract compositions are always based on nature, which he says, "invented everything". Chartier doesn't calculate in his artistic process, instead, each piece progresses as it pleases. He will often begin with a background color which gives direction to a painting. He creates using oils on canvas.
