About this artwork
I use various painting techniques in my work. When I'm not painting on canvas, my subjects are worked on backgrounds prepared from cardboard that is glued and then sprayed. I then paint my compositions in oil, always from life, following the contours and imperfections of the cardboard pieces used as a support, the aim being to give a figurative subject, considered academic, a more contemporary dimension.
