About this artwork
In my work, created in oil paints, naivety and surrealism merge into a lively representation. A double crane, elegant and almost mystical, rises from a flowing background in warm yellow and orange tones that exude an atmosphere of hope and freedom. The soft, feather-like details invite you to dream and remind the viewer to reflect on the beauty of untouched nature and the fleetingness of the moment.
Christian Tschierske, an internationally acclaimed artist from Germany, works primarily with oil paints on canvas or paper and also pursues epic photography. With his unique style, he draws the viewer into a colorful, surreal fantasy world, employing naive yet captivating techniques. Despite, or perhaps because of, the absence of people, his artworks depict a near-perfect, yet fascinatingly alien world. With this style, he brings light to dark places such as the dentist's office, the courtroom, the law firm, and many others.
