About this artwork
In my artwork, I combine the freedom and unpredictability of acrylic, ink, and spray paint in an abstract style. The dynamic, energetic lines and shapes are dominated by bold shades of blue and black, punctuated by spontaneous accents of white and pink. "Let's fly somewhere" is an invitation to break free from the shackles of the everyday and immerse yourself in the vastness of creativity and undiscovered possibilities. It brings an invigorating,… almost rebellious energy to any space, a constant reminder of the freedom that lies in art.
« The impressions, experiences and situations that have fueled me life, that's what I capture in my pictures. »
Christiane Lohrig is a dedicated German painter whose works have been exhibited throughout France, Germany and Luxembourg. With a preference for abstract painting, she experiments with a range of materials including wallpaper, strips of which she tears on and off and reworks with oil and spray paint. Lohrig translates anecdotes and clichés into her own visual language, using colours, shapes and lines to make her canvases dance with images, objects and text.
