About this artwork
This painting is part of a series on female masters present in mythologies or various spiritualities.
I work intuitively, without any prior research into composition. The paint is prepared with pigments and the colors are applied, one after the other, until I see something. Then I develop it, in dialogue with the layers below. For this series, I also used pure gold leaf, a reference to sacred art.
