About this artwork
“Elegantia” captures the grace and movement of a dancer in bloom. As I painted this vibrant magenta flower, I imagined each brushstroke coming alive flowing, bending, and swaying to the rhythm of an unseen wind. The petals lift and curve with a quiet elegance, as if carried by a gentle breath of air.
Set against a deep background, the flower’s form feels both delicate and powerful. I wanted this piece to embody a sense of fluid beauty, where nature… becomes choreography and color becomes emotion. “Elegantia” is a tribute to the way flowers move without ever taking a step dancing through light, shadow, and the softness of their own petals.
The piece later received two international honors, a gentle affirmation of the expressive movement I hoped to share through this bloom.

Christine El Ojeil is a Lebanese international multi-award-winning artist based in Dubai. She studied drawing at the Art Academy in Beirut, where she deepened her understanding of color, composition, and expressive form. Working primarily with oil on canvas, she creates vibrant, emotional artworks inspired by nature and personal experience.
Her work has been exhibited internationally, including World Art Dubai 2025, a solo show in Beirut, and art fairs and gallery exhibitions across Dubai, Doha, Venice, Milan, Rome, Florence, Barcelona, Madrid, Monaco, Tokyo, and New York. Her paintings have also been showcased in museums such as The Central Museum Almaty in Kazakhstan and the Art and Science Museum in Milan.
