About this artwork
Life and death need each other. Endings of one life is a beginning of a new life. Death, the skull at the bottom is present but has also grown new life in the foliage and snake. The snake coming out of the skull, alive and potentially able to bring death slink toward the twins. Indentical twins, developing from the same zygote, hold a new zygote (egg).

Christine Harris is a sculptor based in the United States whose works have been widely exhibited nationally. She describes the concepts of her pieces as often originating from dreams and being heavily influenced by comparative mythology, Jungian psychology, as well as science fiction and horror books and films. In her artistic process, Harris employs polymer clay and resin. She paints each composition with acrylics, occasionally adding found objects such as crystals, rocks, metal, and fire opals.
