About this artwork
Cascade is about determination. The wall of rock represents strength, resilience and wisdom. The small pieces of debris floating above are those things we put aside in life as unimportant. For humans, growing older provides perspective and reminds us that we are here for a short time compared with our environment. This work is highly textured and will make a imposing statement in an office or home.

« My creative work is informed by the fragile attributes of nature and its precarious relationship with humans. Its beauty instills a visceral and organic symbolism in my abstract paintings. »
Christine Reimer is an experienced artist based in Canada whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the United States and China. In addition, her art has been featured in publications such as Boulevard Magazine, Focus Magazine Victoria, the Cowichan Valley Voice, etc. Reimer cites the symbiotic push and pull of nature vs. humanity as being the catalyst that drives her creative expression.
