About this artwork
Spring Rain is inspired by a rainy day! (not a surprise!) I love the greens and mauves which are very restful and yet there is a lot of movement in the painting. I have used a comb to draw through wet paint to reveal the colour below, a little like drawing on a foggy window. There is a very restful presence in the painting.

« My creative work is informed by the fragile attributes of nature and its precarious relationship with humans. Its beauty instills a visceral and organic symbolism in my abstract paintings. »
Christine Reimer is an experienced artist based in Canada whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in the United States and China. In addition, her art has been featured in publications such as Boulevard Magazine, Focus Magazine Victoria, the Cowichan Valley Voice, etc. Reimer cites the symbiotic push and pull of nature vs. humanity as being the catalyst that drives her creative expression.
