About this artwork
Walking north from the Montparnasse district towards the Louvre, you pass through a narrow, medieval quarter. The path leads through dark alleyways, past antique shops.
Through the shop windows, lost cultures, rise and fall, forgotten myths gaze out. Suddenly, the banks of the Seine are there. And I marvel at the morning light over the river – vastness, breath.
A new myth is emerging, that of light, divine grace, redemption, consciousness, and… spiritual experience. And this is happening right in the middle of the materialistic machinery.
