Christophe Jacquemot is an award-winning French artist whose paintings have been widely exhibited nationally, as well as in the United States, Japan, and Luxembourg. Whereas most people associate black with darkness and death, he feels that black symbolizes our origins and "the belly of the earth, where the regeneration of the world takes place". Jacquemot is fascinated by this enigmatic color which sums up all of the others, because with light comes colors, before that, black was the only color.
