About this artwork
In my work "WORDS 002", I explored the pervasive influence of words in our existence using resin and colored letters. This symbolic pop art work displays a human silhouette enveloped and almost suffocated by a sea of letters and words, reflecting on how language shapes and sometimes confuses our identity. Each letter, specially positioned, vibrates with energy, inviting the viewer to reflect on the power of words in our lives. The use of intense…
and contrasting colors infuses a dynamism that energizes any living space, stimulating conversations and deep introspection.

CHriZ is an Italian contemporary artist and the founder of Genomism, a visual language in which the individual alphabetic letter becomes a generative unit of form.
His research originates in typography but moves beyond the traditional function of written language. Rather than using letters primarily to construct readable words, CHriZ applies and layers individual alphabetic characters by hand on metal panels. Through repetition, accumulation, density and stratification, letters generate bodies, faces and human presences.
The letter retains its alphabetic identity while suspending the necessity of being read. At close range, the image fragments into individual signs; from a distance, those same signs converge into a figure.
CHriZ defines the alphabet as a form of visual DNA: a finite system of elements capable of generating potentially infinite configurations.
This research led to the foundation and formalization of Genomism.
